The Polish Ministry of Finance has announced a significant new proposal that would impact the entire vaping industry. Vice Minister Jarosław Neneman revealed plans to implement a 40 PLN (approximately $10 USD) fee on all vaping devices, including both disposable and reusable products.
During a parliamentary subcommittee meeting, Neneman explained that this comprehensive fee would apply universally across the vaping device spectrum. The proposal demonstrates a strategic shift in how Poland approaches vaping device regulation and taxation.
The Ministry specifically notes that this fee would place a particularly substantial burden on disposable devices, affecting both traditional e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products. This approach aligns with broader government efforts to address the growing prevalence of vaping products in the Polish market.
Industry analysts anticipate this measure could significantly impact consumer behavior and market dynamics, particularly in the disposable vaping segment where the fee would represent a considerable percentage of the current retail price.
